Grokker.com Bring Visuals To Yahoo SearchChris Richardson | Staff Writer | 2005-05-09 Today, Groxis Inc., a search visualization company, announced the launch of Grokker.com, the first web-based version of Groxis' visualization software. Grokker.com is powered by Yahoo' search engine and it offers users an opportunity to use a visual representation of search queries entered into Grokker. Not only are users returned a graphical representation of their search queries, they are also provided with contextually relevant ads, which are also provided by Yahoo. R.J. Pittman, CEO and Founder of Groxis, offers these thoughts: "The great thing about Grokker.com is that now the public can experience and understand the advantages of visual search without have to buy or download anything. Grokker.com eliminates the friction so anyone can try this new technology. The new site will raise the awareness of visual search in the marketplace as we roll out a new suite of products in the next year." Click for Larger Image While Grokker.com is the first web-based uses of the visual technology, Groxis has featured a desktop utility that provides users with similar graphical results. The Groxis desktop product has surpassed the million-download mark. Results from Grokker.com can be saved and passed on to other users by selecting the GrokMail key. This feature saves Grokker.com search results, which can be shared with friends and business partners.
