Intel Execs Highlight Visualization Software
Product In Three Separate Sessions
Sausalito, Calif. — February 18, 2003 — Groxis, Inc.,
a leader in visual information software technology, today announced
that Intel Corporation demonstrated Grokker™ Desktop in three
separate executive sessions at the the Intel Developer Forum, February
17th-19th, in San Jose, California. Grokker Desktop is a revolutionary
new desktop software product that helps users access, organize and
share content on the Web and personal computers. Groxis formally unveiled
the product earlier in the week at DEMO 2003, the premier technology
conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. “We were very pleased
to be featured at the Intel Developer Forum,” said R.J. Pittman,
CEO at Groxis. “There is growing recognition that Grokker Desktop
represents the next wave of applications that will enhance the value
of next-generation PCs. IDF was a great venue to communicate the value
of our desktop application.”
With Grokker Desktop, users can quickly organize search results, and
save, modify, and construct consolidated graphical knowledge maps
across a variety of data sources. Grokker Desktop builds precise and
detailed knowledge maps containing visual cues and relationships between
the data. The map itself contains powerful metadata that vividly describes
the “nature” of the data collection. Grokker Desktop enables
map generation and the ability to collaborate, extend, edit, delete,
save, and share any attribute or subset of the map. The actual records,
such as HTML pages, are accessed by traversing the Web with a browser.
This approach allows Grokker Desktop to negotiate any type of network,
file system, or database, saving time and resources, and generating
far more useful results.
Grokker Desktop 1.0 will ship toward the end of this quarter. Until
then, Preview Release 3 will be available for customer to purchase
at a discount to the full 1.0 price. About Groxis
