Grokker ESM radically changes enterprise search by simultaneously searching a host of content sources looking for the most relevant information. Grokker then categorizes and displays those results in an easy-to use visual interface that allows users to explore and manage their results in a way that simply isn't possible with list based searches.
User signs in to the https://contentprovider.grokker.com over HTTPS. When the user enters their query, Grokker sends the search term from the client to the hosted application over the secure Internet connection.
The query is passed through the Grokker firewall to the Grokker Data Collection Server, which normalizes the query and sends it to the content providers data servers.
Using IP authentication and/or automated data credentialing, the content provider either verifies or denies access to the OEM API. If verified, metadata for 250 search results are passed into the Grokker application servers via HTTPS.
Grokker analyzes metadata, document contents, and other information to create intelligently labeled clusters and to assign all results into those clusters — a Grokker Content Map. The map is sent back to the client’s web browser over HTTPS.
The web browser client displays the topically organized results into easy to navigate visual formats that allow viewers to explore large sets of results, filter results on the fly to pinpoint essential data, and leverage the results to create new knowledge, research and products.
When a client requests a full-text document from the content provider, the client’s native authentication credentials are passed directly to the content provider bypassing Grokker to deliver the information directly to the subscriber.
